Greece will host the 25th World Schools Championships in basketball

Greece will host the 2019 World School Championship in basketball, held in Heraklion - Crete, from 12-20 April 2019. The event is organised by ISF and cooperation with the Greek Ministry of Education, Research and Religious Affairs Directorate of Physical Education.

With 24 World Schools Championships organised between 1973 and 2017, basketball is one of the sports with the longest history in the International School Sport Federation. Last Championship took place in Poreč, Croatia, where 33 countries participated.

Participation

Both, boys and girls school teams will participate with youth aged 15-18 (year of birth 2001-2004).
