The Asian School Sport Federation 2019 Executive Committee Meeting and the 8th ASSF Forum is being held in Pattaya, Thailand, from 16-20 December 2019.
ISF President Mr Laurent Petrynka and ISF CEO/Secretary General Mr Hrvoje Custonja attended the EC meeting and the ASSF Forum.
The event is organised by The Department of Physical Education, Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Thailand.
ISF President was one of the keynote speakers at the opening of the Forum, held on 17 December 2019, along with ASSF President Mr Zhang Ailong and Deputy Director General of the Department of Physical Education, Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Thailand Dr. Niwat Limsuknirun.
ISF Asia President Mr Santi Pawai from Thailand, elected at the ISF General Assembly in June 2019, was present.
The ASSF Forum covered various topics related to school sport. ISF President Mr Laurent Petrynka and ISF CEO/Secretary General Mr Hrvoje Custonja participated in a panel discussion “Opportunity and Challenge of Organizing Sport Schools Championships”.
At the event, ISF President, Laurent Petrynka met with IOC member Khunying Patama Leeswadtrakul (Thailand), in presence of ISF CEO/Secretary General Hrvoje Custonja and representatives of the sport authorities of Thailand: Prapan Praiangoon, Deputy Director General of the Department of Physical Education and Yotsapol Sukumolnan, Sport Development Expert.
More than 20 countries attended the event. ASSF Technical Committee meeting took place on 17 December 2019 while the Executive Committee meeting was held on 18 December 2019.
