We are sure that is an opportunity of growth for our students, competing with older and very well prepared athletes will give them an overview on how the next step in their career looks like, However Catalina often competes in Junior Women and Elite Women ITU Championship. She is currently ranked #322 with 135,44points.
Even since she started running in ITU championship, she finished several times on the podium (#3 2013 Vina del Mar PATCO Triathlon Junior Pan American Cup, #2 2014 Salinas PATCO Triathlon Junior South American Championships, #1 2014 Coquimbo PATCO Triathlon Junior Pan American Cup, #2 2015 Joao Pessoa CAMTRI Triathlon Junior South American Championships and #3 2016 La Paz (ARG) CAMTRI Triathlon Junior South American Championships). Beginning of July, she finished the 2016 West Des Moines CAMTRI Triathlon U23 and Junior American Championships at the 15th place.
This will be the second time that ISF athletes compete in a FISU competition (cf. 1st participation in WUC Cross-Country). It is also an opportunity for ISF and FISU to reinforce the ideas expressed in the MoU that was signed during the Gwangju Universiade.
Looking forward to the event and we wish a successful competition to all the participants and Suerte to Catalina !
