On Monday 17th of January, the ISF delegation led by ISF Secretary General/CEO Hrvoje Custonja, alongside ISF Deputy Secretary/CEO General Kole Gjeloshaj, Sports Director Josip Kosutic, and ISF Technical Commission Ski President Paavo Nael, continued their inspection visit in Ukraine visiting the city of Bukovel which will host the first ISF Gymnasiade School Winter Games 2023.
As was the case for the inspection visit of the previous day, the ISF delegation was welcomed for the trip by Ukrainian School Sport Federation President and ISF Executive Committee member Roman Greba and Ukrainian Member of Parliament Ivan Krulko, and were also joined by Ukrainian Member of Parliament, Eduard Proshuk.
They began the day by visiting the city Kalush to the north of Bukovel in the Ivano Frankivsk Region to view the Ice rink which will host the curling and ice hockey competitions of the ISF Winter Gymnasiade.

They continued the inspection visit travelling to Bukovel, the main host city of ISF Winter Gymnasiade 2023 where numerous athletes will compete in Alpine Skiing, Biathlon, Cross Country, and Snowboarding.
Following the ISF visit to the facilities in Bukovel, the delegation ended the day by meeting with Volodymir Rusnak, Executive Director of the resort to discuss the selection of the Medal Plaza and the Fun & Skills zone.

Bukovel, Ukraine is the largest ski resort in Eastern Europe. There are currently 17 ski lifts with roughly 60 km of slopes divided into 61 sections. In 2012, Bukovel was named the fastest-growing ski resort in the world, it is one of the most popular ski resorts in the Ukrainian Carpathian Mountains.
During the ISF Winter Gymnasiade 2023, there will be a total of 8 different sports including Alpine Skiing, Biathlon, Cross-country Skiing, Curling, Figure Skating, Ice Hockey, Ski Orienteering, and Snowboarding.
