Paula Radcliffe, women’s world marathon record holder, will be one of the She Runs Active Girls’ Lead Talk speakers

Brussels, February 27 2019 - Paula Radcliffe, women’s world marathon record holder and the fastest female marathoner of all time, will be one of the She Runs Active Girls’ Lead Talk speakers on March 14.

She Runs Active Girls’ Lead event will take place from 12-15 March 2019 in Paris, France, welcoming 500 girl students from 35 countries. Paula Radcliffe will join the inspirational part of the event on March 14 at the Palais Brongniart.

Being one of the most influential athletes in the field, while also being a mom and the fastest female marathoner of all time, Radcliffe is a powerful inspiration to young women from all over the World.

Besides being the women’s world marathon record holder and a three-time London and New York marathon champion, she is also a strong advocate for girls and women empowerment, and an IAAF ambassador and the UN Environment Advocate for Clean Air, leading the race for a pollution-free planet and a healthy environment for runners.

She Runs Active Girls’ Lead participants will have a chance to hear Radcliffe’s inspirational story and get inspired by one of the most notable athletes in the World.

Paula Radcliffe will share the stage will fellow female leaders Birgitta Kervinen , Laurence Fischer and Valentina Marchei under the guidance of Sandy Heribert who will moderate the conversation on the connection between sport, gender equality and the development of female leadership.

She Runs Active Girls’ Lead, supported by the European Commission’s Erasmus+ Sport programme, will open on March 12 with the The Scavenger Hunt which will be followed by The Run on March 13 and continue with the inspirational The Talk on March 14^th. The event will end on March 15 with the Design Sprint.
