Azerbaijan School Sport Federation making steps forward to strengthen its development

Baku, 26 September 2018 - Azerbaijan School Sport Federation made significant step forward to consolidate its development.

On 26 September 2018, the signing ceremony between Mr Azad Rahimov, the Minister of Youth and Sport, Mr Jeyhun Bayramov, Minister of Education, Mr Chingiz Huseyzada, the Vice-President of the National Olympic Committee of Azerbaijan Republic and Ms Sevinj Guseynova, President of the Azerbaijan School Sport Federation, represented by her President, took place in Baku.

The agreement signed was in regards of the organisation of The National Championship between Azerbaijani Schools.

This signature shows fast development of the Azerbaijan School Sport entity which was constituted less than two years ago. The country already took part at the Gymnasiade 2018, hosted by Morocco, and at the 3x3 Basketball World Schools Championship, held in Belgrade.

On 19 September 2018 in Baku, to discuss development of the School Sport and build a stronger future involvement of the Azerbaijan School Sport Federation within the ISF, the ISF Director for the Strategic Cooperation, Mr Kolë Gjeloshaj , met with Ms Gülgez Tagiyeva, the Vice-President, Mr Parvin Mehdiyev, the Secretary General and Mr Tural Tagiyev, the International Relations Manager.
