Interview of Antonio Hora Filho, President of CBDE about the 3rd ISF WSC Beach Volleyball, Aracaju Brazil.

How many countries are you expecting?

So far 11 countries have confirmed their participation. The following countries expected are: Chile, India, Germany, France, French Polynesia, Dominican Republic, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay , Suriname and Brazil.

How is the third ISF World Schools Championship of Beach Volleyball being organized?

The organization is composed by members of CBDE, School Sport Federation of Sergipe, City Hall and the government of the State.

The organization has been locally and regionally organized. First of all, we had a municipal meeting with the communication office, tourism office, sports office. Then, we had a regional meeting with the public security office, sports office, education office, health office and tourism office.

As far as I understood, you have put at disposal a lot of means for the comfort of the athletes?

Indeed, the whole venue has been designed in an innovative way. This is a temporary venue called “Arena Aracaju” built on a parking along the beach. Arena Aracaju will be composed of 3 external courts, one central court with air conditioning VIP lounge. The whole venue will have high speed WIFI and a special room with computers to connect and interact on social networks. There will be a leisure place with table tennis, Xbox games, flippers, a climbing wall, rope equilibrium, etc. to entertain people. There will be as well a catering and beverage (fresh tropical juice, juicy water) place with a 500 people capacity.

Of course, the presence of the police around the venue and in the hotel will be reinforced. There will be a special phone number created and provided to the participants. A first aids hospital with medical ambulances will be at disposal and as well, a massage and physiotherapy room will be arranged in the venue.

Do you have any details to share about communication?

Yes, along with the availability of WIFI and computers. A big screen will be hanging with the latest news.  A drone will be flying around to capture videos of the games and will be then broadcasted.

The finals will be available in LIVE as well.

We created as well a special newspaper that will cover the opening and the closing ceremony; by the way, the day of the Opening Ceremony, we will celebrate the 15^th anniversary of CBDE creation.

About the cultural involvement, could you tell us more?

To increase people interest in sports, every day, pupils from public school will come, play and interact on the venue. Moreover, 30 CBDE members from all the States from Brazil will assist the World Schools Championship.

It will be most likely that the Delegations will spend their cultural day at Xingo Canyon by catamaran where there are natural swimming pools.

Last question, who do you think will win titles?

Well, if I base myself on the last results of ISF WSC Beach Volleyball. Brazil has a lot of chances. I am pretty sure the school of Aracaju will win the 17-18 years old girl category. But there are 6 Categories and China is very strong. So we will see.
