The Youth Council of the International School Sport Federation is looking for two young, talented, & motivated volunteer facilitators.
"Fun & Skills" Project - Volunteer - Europe & World (France-Morocco-Serbia)
Responsibilities:
The persons will be in charge of facilitating the implementation of the "Fun & Skills" project. The main objective of this innovative project is to develop the educational aspect of the ISF events (World School Championships and Gymnasiade) through the creation of "Fun&Skills" zones. These interactive spaces will aim at raising awareness on the importance of healthy life-style (nutrition, anti-doping, fair play, etc) among participants of the sport events, using peer-to-peer dialogue.
This call regards the position of two experienced volunteers in charge of facilitating the training of a pool of international volunteers (aged 14-30, max 20 people) to build up a strong team dynamic. We expect them to be highly motivated, to be present and engaged in the following phases (2018):
Training of the volunteers:
-Facilitate the training for the volunteers to develop skills, knowledge and attitudes to run activities on the zones (healthy life style, anti-doping, fair play, Education Through Sport)
-Preparation: several on-line meetings will be run to prepare the content and logistics of the training
One ISF event (Gymnasiade and/or World School Championship):
-Facilitate the zones together with the volunteers to raise awareness among participants
-Preparation: facilitators will keep the team active to be ready for the event through on-line meetings and follow-ups
Requirements:
- excellent English communication skills, both written and oral (the knowledge of other languages is an asset).
- have experience in using sport/physical activity as a tool for education (strong experience in Education Through Sport and non-formal education will be valued),
- have experience in volunteering and peer-to-peer learning,
- have solid experience in the field of the sport; specific experience in school sport will be highly considered,
- be between 18 and 30.
