ISF participated at UEFA’s "Anti-doping in Football” seminar

Brussels, 26 September 2019 – ISF participated at UEFA’s "Anti-doping in Football” seminar, organised by Football Association of Norway and funded by Erasmus+ programme.

At the seminar, education was presented as a tool to fight doping in grassroots football.

The seminar was held within the framework of the European Week of Sport and opened by Mr Marc Vouillamoz, UEFA Head of Anti-doping. Mr Vouillamoz introduced UEFA’s apps for players -on anti-doping and on integrity - both as part of the educational programme and the anti-doping guide.

He also explained the test process and the agreements signed with the Anti-Doping organisations (NADO). Amongst the speakers were Ms Tiziana Beghin, Member of the European Parliament and Mr Yves Le Lostecque, the Head of Unit Sport at the European Commission.

In 2018 ISF has developed a handbook on healthy athletes and anti-doping which is given to the youth to educate them on smart choice and the dangers of doping.
