World Schools Championships in football is coming to Belgrade, Serbia

School Sport Federation of Serbia will host the 2019 World School Championship in football, held in Belgrade from April 6-14, 2019. The event will welcome 24 boys and 16 girls teams from all over the World.

As one of the sports that has been organized as the ISF World Schools Championship since the very beginning of its existence, football is an important part of school sport. Since 1972, when the first World Schools Championship gathered 14 participating teams from 14 countries, the event grew steadily and hosted 36 teams from 24 countries on the last event in 2017. The record for the highest number of participants holds the Championship in Bordeaux, France, in 2013 where 25 countries competed with 39 teams.

The 2019 World School Championship will open on Sunday, April 7 with the first preliminary rounds matches and the Opening Ceremony, and closed on Saturday, April 13 with finals and the awarding ceremony.
