After successful ISF Stay Active campaign, ISF in cooperation with its members continues with an organisation of the online sport activities which aim at supporting youth to stay active and keep practicing school sport at home.
In August 2020, Nepal School Sport Federation, under approval of the ISF, will organise ISF World Schools Taekwondo Poomsae Virtual Championship 2020.
Since most of the international sport events have been postponed or cancelled, online sport activities are in the spotlight with an aim of keeping athletes and students safe, active, healthy and motivated to keep practicing their chosen sport. Throughout April and May, ISF ran an ISF Stay Active campaign which gathered 65 participants, including four Olympians, from 28 countries and four continents.
ISF World Schools Taekwondo Poomsae Virtual Championship 2020 is an online challenge in which ISF members and young athletes, age groups 12-14 and 15-17 years old, from all over the World are welcome to submit a video content which showcases their Taekwondo Poomsae skills.
The online championship and the presentation of the submitted videos will take place on 13-15 August 2020. The deadline for registration is 30 July 2020, and 8 August 2020 for video submission.
ISF World Schools Taekwondo Poomsae Virtual Championship 2020 will be broadcasted on Nepal School Sport Federation YouTube, Facebook and Twitter channel.
This online activity is a great way to motivate the young taekwondo athletes to stay active and participate in the virtual international sport event from the safety and comfort of their home.
